If you are covered by Australian Medicare, appointments in-person qualify for a Medicare benefit of $82.30 per session when you have been referred by a GP under the Better Access provisions.

For in-person consultations, the fees per 1 hour session are $270 per sesssion.

If you want to claim the Medicare benefit and are eligible, you will need to bring a GP referral letter, addressed to me, to the initial appointment or email it to me in advance. This benefit may be available for up to 10 consultations in a calendar year provided it hasn’t already been paid to you towards the cost of services with another psychology practitioner.

Australian Private Health Fund Benefits

Teachers Health Fund and their associated funds (including UniHealth and Nurses and Midwives Health) may provide benefits for in-person psychology consultations where the member has top extras cover. Doctors Health Fund may also pay a benefit. Please check with your fund as to the benefit amount and annual limits.

At the time of booking the first consultation, you need to pay the first consultation fee to confirm the appointment time. After the session, you pay the balance of the fee and then claim back the Medicare benefit or health fund benefit if eligible. NOTE: It is only possible to claim one benefit (either Medicare or a health fund benefit) per session. That is, you cannot claim back from both Medicare and a health fund for the same session. Cancellation or no-show fees cannot be claimed from Medicare or a health fund.

Cancellation Policy: 24 hours notice of changes or cancellations required or full fee charged.

Late Payment Policy: Unpaid invoices will incur a late fee of AUD $10 per invoice for each month or part thereof beyond the due date.
